About Johnny Mo

Mallards is the home of the award winning and critically acclaimed Johnny Mo the musical chef. He’s not only a well trained chef, but the author of Rock The Kitchen and Rock The Party, a series of his own cookbooks which include a full length CD of the chefs original tunes.
Johnny Mo is an accomplished musician who’s known for coming out of the kitchen to entertain his dining guests. His ALL CRAB crab cakes, Filet with lobster cream sauce, jalapeño mussels and braised pork over sweet potato biscuits are just a few of his costumers favorites!
With two locations, Mallards Sidewalk Cafe which is located in the county seat of Accomac serves up signature sandwiches, soups and salads Mon-Fri. and his premier waterfront location is Mallards at the Wharf in Onancock which is housed in the historic Hopkins Bros Bldg. circa 1842 and is open daily 11am till 9pm. Mallards also offers full service catering on and off premise.
Johnny Mo works closely with the Food Bank Of The Eastern Shore. He is a member of the Advisory Board as well and the founder of the annual event, Music For The Hungry which has raised over $100,000 for the Food Bank here on the Shore. He participates in many other charitable events throughout the year throughout Virginia, DC, MD and Tidewater area.

Personal Info

Johnny Mo resides in Onancock, is married and has 2 sons. In his free time he enjoys fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends. His love for the Shore shows in everything he does including his song writing.
